What you see in Dashbuilder depends on two things: your role (what you can do) and your area (which part of the organisation you can see). Everyone looks at the same dashboards, but each person's figures cover only their own patch.
Roles
Role | Can build and manage | Sees |
|---|---|---|
Super admin | Everything, including connecting AI assistants | Everything |
Admin | Data, users, audiences, metrics, dashboards, trackers, campaigns, audit log, connecting AI assistants | Everything, including drafts |
National | Nothing (view only) | All published dashboards nationally |
Region | Nothing (view only); answers trackers they edit | Their region |
District | As Region | Their district |
Employer | As Region | Workplaces of their employer |
Branch | As Region | Their branch |
If you're not an admin, the sidebar shows Workspace only: Home, Dashboards, Saved views, Notifications and (if you edit any) Trackers. There is no Admin section.
How areas work
Your organisation's structure is a hierarchy: regions contain districts, which contain branches, which contain workplaces. Each workplace also belongs to an employer.
When an admin gives you a Region, District, Branch or Employer role, they also choose your area. From then on:
- Home shows Your areas by name.
- Every number on every dashboard covers your area only.
- Area filters list only areas inside yours.
- Changing a link or URL to point at another area doesn't widen your view; figures outside your area show as zero.
- Data tables and downloads include only members in your area.
